Meta One subscription: what Advanced gives you
Meta now sells a subscription across Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp. The individual tiers buy expression and AI credits. The creator and business tiers buy a badge, scheduling, links, and an analytics export whose contents Meta has not described.
Is Meta One worth it for creators?
Meta One is Meta's subscription, announced on 15 September 2026, with individual plans from $2.99 a month and creator and business plans from $14.99. Analytics only enter at Advanced, from $49.99 a month: a spreadsheet export of your own Instagram content insights, a longer look-back, a comparison against similar profiles, and Facebook data on non-followers. Meta has not said which metrics the export holds, how far back it reaches, or what similar means. It is your own account's numbers, exported, and nothing about anyone else's.
The Meta One subscription is a paid plan across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Meta AI, announced by Meta on 15 September 2026. Individual plans start at $2.99 a month and buy AI usage and cosmetic features. Creator and business plans start at $14.99 a month for a verified badge. From the Advanced tier at $49.99 they add scheduling, clickable links and “exportable analytics and deeper audience insights”. The free apps stay free. This page covers what the tiers give you on the measurement side, what they do not, and whether Advanced replaces a separate analytics tool. Every figure is Meta’s own, as of 21 September 2026.
What Meta One is
Meta One has two families of plan. Individual plans are the single-app subscriptions (Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus, WhatsApp Plus) or a bundle of all three with an AI allowance. Creator and business plans add a verified badge and professional tools.
Meta’s help page is the closest thing to a feature list. On availability, Meta’s two pages disagree. The announcement says plans are “now available globally” and, a few paragraphs earlier, “rolling out gradually”. The help page, updated 18 September 2026, says the service “is currently in limited testing and isn’t available everywhere yet”. The announcement adds that plans, benefits, pricing and availability “may vary by region, by app, and by account”; the help page says the same in its own words. Read the help page as the current one. You subscribe only through the Instagram, Facebook or Meta AI mobile app, billed by the App Store or Google Play. There is no web sign-up yet.
What the Meta One subscription costs
US dollars per month, from Meta’s announcement. Where Meta says “starting at”, the table says “from”.
| Plan | Who it is for | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Instagram Plus | Individuals, one app | $3.99 |
| Facebook Plus | Individuals, one app | $3.99 |
| WhatsApp Plus | Individuals, one app | $2.99 |
| Core | Individuals, all three apps | $7.99 |
| Premium | Individuals, more AI usage | $19.99 |
| Essential | Creators and businesses | from $14.99 |
| Advanced | Creators and businesses | from $49.99 |
| Expert | Creators and businesses | from $149 |
| Max | Creators and businesses | from $499 |
Only the bottom three deliver anything you would call analytics. Essential is verification and AI; measurement begins at Advanced.
What the creator and business tiers include
Essential is the verified badge on Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp Business, impersonation monitoring once you are verified, a bio link page, more Meta Business Agent responses on WhatsApp, and the three Plus apps. Nothing in it is a number you can put in a report.
Advanced is where the professional tools arrive. From Meta’s help page:
- Scheduling: stories up to 30 days ahead, posts and reels up to a year ahead, suggested times, grid preview and bulk upload on instagram.com.
- Links: clickable links in up to 4 Instagram posts and 4 Instagram reels a month, and 8 Facebook reels.
- Shared access: up to four other people on your Instagram account without sharing the password.
- “Advanced insights”, four items: competitive insights against “profiles similar to yours” on Instagram, custom audience insights about people who see your Facebook content but do not follow you, an extended insights history with “a longer look-back period”, and an export of “your Instagram content insights to a spreadsheet”.
- One human support chat a month, and 500 WhatsApp broadcast credits.
Expert and Max raise the counts rather than add measurement: 8 and 12 post links a month (with 8 and 12 Instagram reel links, and 20 and unlimited Facebook reel links), 8 and 30 team members, more support, and on Max a strategy call every six months. Neither lists any analytics that Advanced lacks.
Meta has not published an account-type requirement for these plans, only that benefits vary “by account type”. Three of the four insights are Instagram Insights, which a personal account does not have; the fourth is a Facebook audience view. Read Business or Creator first; the subscription cannot export what the account does not collect.
What “exportable analytics” does and does not tell you
What Meta has said: the export is of your Instagram content insights, it lands in a spreadsheet, and Advanced extends how far back you can look. That is the whole description.
What Meta has not said, as of 21 September 2026: which metrics the export contains, whether it is per post or per day, what file format it is, how long the extended look-back is, what “similar profiles” means, or which figures the comparison shows. Write-ups that list specific columns have no Meta source; TechCrunch’s report on the launch notes Meta declined to give concrete numbers even for the AI allowances.
The export is your own account, and only your own account. That is the boundary every tool lives inside: reach, saves, shares and watch time exist only for accounts you manage, and nothing gets them for anyone else. The competitive insight compares you against “profiles similar to yours”. Meta’s wording does not say who picks them, whether you can see which profiles they are, or whether you can name one. If your question is “how did we do against that account”, nothing Meta has published says Advanced answers it.
A spreadsheet is a snapshot. It shows the account as it was when you pressed export, and it does not sit next to the post that produced it. How far back it reaches, and whether a column says what a figure was measured against, are among the things Meta has not published. What a separate analytics tool adds is a record that keeps building after the export, and context from other accounts. Whether that is worth paying for on top of $49.99 depends on whether anyone will ask you to prove a number later.
Who the Advanced tier is for
Advanced makes sense if you already wanted the other half of it: story scheduling a month out, four clickable links a month, shared access without a password. If you would pay for those, the export is a bonus.
It makes less sense as an analytics purchase on its own. For $49.99 a month you get an export of data your account already collects, a longer window of unstated length, and a comparison against profiles Meta has not defined. A freelancer with one client will find the export useful and the comparison hard to explain. An agency with several hits the wall a scheduler’s reporting tab hits: the numbers are there, but not a named competitor, a source on each figure, or the answer to “what was this divided by”.
The verdict, tier by tier
The individual plans are worth it only if you want the AI credits and the cosmetic features; there is no analytics in Instagram Plus, Core or Premium. Instagram Plus is an individual plan: custom app icons, story previews and messaging extras. Meta lists no insights, exports or audience data in it, or in the Core and Premium bundles that add AI usage. Essential is worth it only if the badge is worth $14.99 to you. The Meta One subscription is worth it at Advanced if you need the scheduling and links; treat the export as a convenient copy of your own insights, and remember that Meta has not yet said what is in it. Prices and features differ by region and account, so read the onboarding screen first.

Also asked
How much does Meta One Advanced cost?
Meta lists Advanced from $49.99 a month, as of 21 September 2026, above Essential from $14.99 and below Expert from $149 and Max from $499. Meta says pricing varies by region, app and account, and you can subscribe only through the Instagram, Facebook or Meta AI mobile app, billed by the App Store or Google Play.
Which Meta One tier includes analytics?
Advanced, from $49.99 a month, is the first tier with measurement. Meta's help page lists four advanced insights: competitive insights against similar Instagram profiles, custom audience insights on Facebook non-followers, a longer look-back period, and an export of your Instagram content insights to a spreadsheet. Essential is verification and AI; Expert and Max add no analytics Advanced lacks.
Does Meta One replace an Instagram analytics tool?
Only the part where you copy your numbers by hand. Meta has said the Advanced export covers your Instagram content insights and lands in a spreadsheet; it has not said which metrics, how long the look-back is, or what similar profiles means. There is no named competitor, no source on each figure, and no record that keeps building afterwards.
